Automatic Start/Stop Control panels are used for control of electric motor or engine driven compressors and pumps. The panel monitors vital parameters such as lube oil pressure, jacket water temperature and suction/discharge pressure and temperature. The control panel will safely shut down the monitored equipment if a monitored parameter exceeds its predetermined set point to avoid damage to the equipment or injury to operating personnel. The heart of these systems is typically a programmable logic controller (PLC) or smart relay based on system complexity.
